Lo-Res Bar

Lo-Res Bar occupies the ground floor of Nitehawk Cinema on Metropolitan Avenue, and its defining feature is the wall of retro TVs looping VHS tapes 24/7 from Nitehawk's own digitally preserved archive — defunct video-store finds, public-access oddities, concert footage, and horror films. The bar serves specialty cocktails and daily beer and shot specials, plus the full Nitehawk food menu. A monthly Motion Picture Pop Quiz runs the second Wednesday of the month, and Vinyl CineDisco DJ nights land on the second and fourth Fridays. It's been written up in The New Yorker, Village Voice, and Brooklyn Magazine, among others.
